My name is Pete Janes, and I write commercial sci-fi and fantasy stories built around danger, mystery, and high-stakes worlds. The common thread is people pushed into extraordinary systems, where survival, identity, and choice are constantly under pressure.

I came from the world of technology and startups, and for years, writing short stories and creating characters was an escape. My quiet obsession is now my life.

I couldn’t tell you exactly where the ideas come from, only that they never arrive fully formed. I love the process of building out the initial spark of a story, the worlds, and bringing characters to life, even when the path takes many wrong turns.

I’m married to Kristin, the strongest woman I know, and together we have three gorgeous children. My family is my world.
